It’s been a very difficult and serious time for everyone, affecting our businesses, our lives and even our very way of life in the last few months.
Since the start of the pandemic and lockdown, our activity has been mostly on hold as we felt it was the right decision to make at the time. However, the demand for our services is continuing to grow and now that the lockdown rules are being relaxed, we are working towards getting back to normal, albeit a new normal in a changed world.
Backed up by our trade body The Data & Marketing Association (DMA) who have written an article explaining the importance of our industry in these unprecedented times, (the article details how it supports responsible and professional organisations working in leaflet distribution), we have made the decision now is the right time to restart our operations.
Door drops are reliable and safe mediums for organisations to display important messages, updates and even provide reassurance to people during this period of lockdown and social isolation. For this reason, we will continue to provide distribution services to businesses, charities and the UK Government.
Resuming Operations at DOR-2-DOR
As the nature of our work makes it very easy for our Post People to socially distance and the World Health Organisation have made it clear that it is safe to handle a package including leaflets and magazines, we are now pleased to announce that we are fully operational again and ready to start distributing leaflets again.
Following the updated government guidelines published on Monday 11 May 2020, describing the proposed phased unlocking of businesses and public activities, we are pleased to advise that from Monday 18th May our operations are being resumed.
We thank everyone for their continuing support in these unprecedented times and we trust we will be able to assist local businesses with their leaflet distribution advertising as part of their journey to bounce back from the current social and economic turmoil.
For those businesses who are still trading, door drops can help them communicate with households who may not have access to online services, as well as older and more vulnerable people who are less comfortable with technology.
These mediums can also help contribute to a sense of normality for people – whether that is by supporting a fundraising appeal, finding a good deal, accessing local services or even simply ordering food and groceries.
Ensuring We Are Safe
To ensure we are safe while carrying out our business activities and to ensure the safety of our Post People and the public while delivering leaflets, we have updated our health and safety procedures in line with the latest government information.
The nature of our work makes it very easy to socially distance and we are, of course, advising all our Post People to take common-sense precautions with applicable PPE to keep them safe and to protect others. All of our Post People will be fully trained to ensure they keep safe and protect others while they are carrying our their distribution rounds.
