Acacia Mews Care Home in Hatfield is Avery Healthcare’s new, purpose built accommodation offering specialist residential, dementia and respite care for the elderly of Hertfordshire.
Earlier this year, Avery Healthcare wanted to raise awareness about the new home to older people, their families and carers, within Hatfield and the surrounding areas.
Acacia Mews Care Home is situated in an area with lots of different towns located relatively closely together. This has resulted in quite a complex media landscape without one prominent local newspaper.
Having tried various marketing approaches in the past, Avery Healthcare has found that leaflet distribution is a highly effective method of communicating about its homes – and much more successful than advertising. Furthermore, the recipients of Avery Healthcare’s leaflets have been known to sometimes keep hold of them for several months, possibly passing them around the other family members before making an enquiry.
It was therefore decided that a targeted leaflet distribution campaign would be the most effective approach to promoting Acacia Mews Care Home and they worked with Dor2Dor to distribute 50,000 leaflets in and around Hatfield.
The leaflet distribution has generated interest and enquiries about Acacia Mews Care Home and Avery Healthcare feels that this has more than justified their investment in the campaign.
